I once had to teach a bartender in Boston how to make a marg=:o
How lucky are we to live in a city with 20+ Mexican restaurants?!?! I know of at least 4 that make what I'd call a 'killer marg' and several have a long list of top shelf/top notch margs. Some of MY personal favorites, in no particular order, are the Juanita Rita - Juanita's, The Boss - Effrain's, Cruiser Marg - Wahoos, Gold on the Rocks - Rio Grande.
What are Boulder Drunks fav margs?
What's your recipe for home shaking?

I've been to Tequila Mexico and I've met Jose Cuervo, but I have yet to find a margarita south of the border as good as we get right here in Boulder!

Best Boulder Happy Hour?

of course i will always have to vote for the Suns happy hours. you really just can't go wrong with $2 nitro kind.

but since i'm thinkin on it, where else do you like to go for happy hour? as jadi can attest, i've been liking me some happy hour at the attic on walnut lately. not for the ambiance or the skunky taps, but for the friggin' $2 appetizers, including jalapeno poppers. i am so addicted to jalapeno poppers right now. if someone can find me a place with some damn good poppers, i will be your BFF! none of them yucky nacho cheese ones neither. has to be a hot ass jalapeno and cream cheese, baby. as it is, i have to order extra jalapenos on the side.

bluegrass bars in boulder?

I just moved down from estes and I'm looking for a nice warm bar reminiscent of the rock inn with live bluegrass most nights, a fire pit out on the patio, and plenty of kind heady/dready regulars with which to get rowdy. Is there any place in this weird ass boulder town like that? I need to meet some good people that know what's up.

So i am new to the tribe, but not to boulder or drinking :). I have lived in the area for about 5 years (nederland included) and have attended the GABF for the last five years running. Not a record by any stretch, but have attended every year i have been here.

So, i love to talk beer, music and anything else that a the universe made as intention for us to be happy.

Once upon a sunny Boulder afternoon, three twenty-somethings were trying to devise an early evening plan. Happy hour was the obvious answer (what could be better than a couple of cocktails and delicious nibbles for a few dollars?). But where? Creatures of habit, they always found themselves at the same places – silly when you consider how many fabulous restaurants Boulder has to offer.

They scoured the local newspapers and magazines for an exciting new option. But it was hopeless. Online, perhaps, would lead to something. But it was just a tease – outdated, incomplete directories were the Internet’s answer to this puzzling dilemma.

Later that night, after a happy hour rendezvous at a familiar spot, they had an “Aha!” moment – what if there was a complete database of all the happy hours in Boulder?

And thus, it was begun – the construction of a complete online directory for all of Boulder’s fabulous happy hours!

I think garian should clarify that we encourage you to join the tribe if you have ever been drunk in boulder. or if thinking about boulder makes you want to get drunk.
